The Emergency Medical Services Association of Colorado (EMSAC), by nomination from the Children’s Hospital- Colorado, has selected the Grand Junction Fire Department as the 2014 recipient of the Commitment to Pediatric Emergency Care Award. Receiving this award is a great honor for the men and women of the Grand Junction Fire Department as we continue to strive to provide the best emergency medical care to the citizens of Grand Junction and Mesa County.
“Pediatric emergency care is something that we train very hard for in the hopes that we never have to use it. Our Paramedics and EMT’s are highly trained to deal with pediatric emergencies and take great pride towards their efforts in the treatment and care of our youth. We are honored to receive this award and will continue to stay ready at all times.” – Emergency Medical Services Chief John Hall.
The EMSAC will present the award to the Grand Junction Fire Department at the Colorado State EMS Conference in Keystone, Colorado on Saturday, November 8th at 9:30 am.
