Time on Scene: 10:43

The Grand Junction Fire Department responded to a report of a possible trailer fire at Elm Park 661 Hwy 50 #18. First unit on scene (Truck 1), within 4 minutes of the dispatch time, reports visible fire and smoke coming from the trailer involved. Bystanders on scene informed fire crews that the trailer was vacant. Fire crews deployed attack lines and were able to make entry very quickly into the trailer and knock down the fire and complete a full extinguishment shortly after. Initial reports from fire investigators lead to the stove as the primary source of the fire and that the stove was being used as a primary heating device. There were no injuries to our firefighters or our citizens and no other structures were involved. All fire investigation questions should be directed to the GJFD Fire Marshall’s Office at 970-549-5851.
