Suspicious Vehicle Fire at WCCC (Western Colorado Community College)

The Grand Junction Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire at Western Colorado Community College early this morning. The first unit on scene (Truck 3) arrived at WCCC and found 3 vehicles fully involved with fire. The vehicles were behind a secured fenced in area near the facility’s shop classes. Fire crews were able to quickly make entry into the area and deploy compressed foam to knock the blaze down and ultimately extinguish the fire.

This fire is considered suspicious and fire investigators are currently on scene conducting their investigation. Details pertaining to this fire and the investigation will take several days. All fire investigation question will directed to the Grand Junction Fire Marshal’s Office @ 970-549-5800.

There were no injuries to the public or emergency personnel during this incident and there were no structures involved.
