Emergency Responders, 9/11 Remembrance Night: Downtown Farmer’s Market

The Grand Junction Fire Department, along with almost every emergency response agency in Mesa County, will be at the 2nd Annual Emergency Responders, 9/11 Remembrance Night: Downtown Farmer’s Market this Thursday evening. Come down to 5th and Main St. from 6pm to 8 pm to see the fire, law enforcement, ambulance, and emergency communications apparatus. We will have several interactive events taking place throughout the evening and we encourage you to come down and get involved. Bring the whole family, you will not be disappointed!

Scheduled Emergency Response Apparatus: (Touch-a-Truck)

GJ Regional Airport – ARFF unit (Big Green Fire Truck), GJFD Rescue 1, The “BEARCAT”, Colorado State Patrol Car, GJPD Squad Car, MCSO Squad Car, GJRCC Communication Rig, St. Mary’s Careflight Ambulance, and several Fire Trucks from around Mesa County. You might even see Delaney’s “Pink” Fire Truck.

At 1950 (7:50 pm) all present apparatus will turn their emergency lights on and the GJFD Chaplain will hold a moment of silence and a blessing.
