UPDATED at 14:50: The firefighter that was transported to the hospital earlier today with injuries from a structure fire assignment has been released.
The Grand Junction Fire Department responded this morning to reports of smoke coming from a shed in the 300 block of Evergreen Road.
Upon arriving to the scene it was found that the home was unoccupied with smoke and flames coming from the shed. One firefighter has been transported to the hospital as a precaution for possible injuries.
Three engines and one truck responded and immediately began fighting the fire. Within minutes the fire was extinguished.
At this point the cause of the fire and the extent of the damage are unknown.
