GJFD Responds to Report of an Explosion

At 15:21 the Grand Junction Fire department was dispatched to a reported explosion on the 200 block of 28 1/2 Road.  The Mesa County Sheriff’s office and Grand Junction Police Department also responded to the scene. One patient was transported for medical treatment.  The total cost of damages is unknown. The Grand Junction Fire Department and Mesa County Sheriff’s Office will be conducting a joint investigation to determine the cause of the explosion. Grand Junction Fire Department responded with four fire engines, a ladder truck, and two ambulances.
