GJFD Responds to Motorhome Fire

IMG_0817.JPGIMG_0790.JPGAt 10:35 AM the Grand Junction Fire Department responded to reports of smoke and flames on the 2880 block of C Rd. When crews arrived on scene at 10:43 AM they found a motorhome fully engulfed in flames with one person safely evacuated. Crews fought the fire from the outside of the home and had the blaze out within 10 minutes of arriving. The motorhome sustained significant damage and the origin and cause of the fire are under investigation.

GJFD responded with a Battalion Chief, a Medical Officer, Ambulance 2, Engine 2, Engine 4, Truck 1, Truck 3, Engine 5, and Water Tender 5. Mesa County Sheriff’s Office responded to assist with scene and traffic control.
