GJFD Responds to Dirt Bike Crash

thumbnail_Image-6On Sunday at 5:51 PM the Grand Junction Fire Department responded to the desert north of 25 Road for a patient with a broken lower leg from a dirt bike crash. St. Mary’s Careflight was able to follow coordinates to the downed dirt biker and provided patient care. A bystander lead GJFD crews to the location of the accident. The patient refused helicopter transport and GJFD crews rendered care before transporting the patient on ATVs to an ambulance staged on 25 Road.

GJFD responded with Engine 2, Ambulance 2, Medic 1, ATV1, ATV2, and a Battalion Chief. St. Mary’s Careflight responded and provided patient care.
