GJFD Responds to Trailer Fire on Montana Road

At 2:01 PM the Grand Junction Fire Department responded to reports of a residential structure fire on the 190 block of Montana Rd. Initial reports indicated that the trailer exploded and was occupied by one person. The occupant was able to exit the structure and was later transported with burns. The fire was extinguished by 2:22 PM. The origin and cause of the fire is under investigation.

GJFD responded with Truck 1, Engine 3, Engine 4, Engine 5, Ambulance 3, Ambulance 6, Medic 1, Battalion 1, Chief 3, and Chief 6. The Mesa County Sheriff’s Office assisted with traffic control and scene safety.
